Screaming Circuits: A Day In The Life at ESC (Embedded Systems Conference)

PROTOTYPE AND SMALL VOLUME
PCB ASSEMBLY MADE EASY

A Day In The Life at ESC (Embedded Systems Conference)

September is usually a decent month to be in Minnesota. The snows haven't arrived, and the summer thunderstorms are past - well, usually. Last night, the lightning looked like a 1970's disco strobe light, and the rain was so intense I couldn't see the lines on the road.

But, that's not the reason I was there. Screaming Circuits built the popular Embedded Systems Conference "Hello There" wireless mesh network badges. Synapse Wireless designed the  badge, Sunstone Circuits fabbed the bare PC board, and we, Screaming Circuits, assembled it.

Here's one of the sessions where we gave out the badges:

The batch of badges before I shipped them off to the ESC show folks:

And, not part of the plan, but here's how my morning started out today:

My car's the poor blue Hyundai on the left. It'll be a while before that car gets rented out again.

Never a dull moment in the electronics industry.

The best bumper cars in Minnesota are apparently on state route 55
